1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or participating in the Velvetree Colour Awards 2026 (“the Competition”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not participate. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Velvetree.

2. About the Competition

The Velvetree Colour Awards 2026 is a national hair colour competition organised by Velvetree across India.

Round 1: Portfolio submission (300–400 participants)
Round 2: Reel creation (Top 100 participants)
Round 3: Grand Finale in Delhi (Top 30 finalists)

3. Eligibility

Must be a resident of India
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a public Instagram account
Must be a hair professional, freelancer, educator, or student
Must not be associated with Velvetree or judging panel

Velvetree reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify participants if necessary.

4. Registration

All information must be accurate and complete
You must own the work you submit
Your Instagram account must remain public
Only one registration per person is allowed

5. Submission Rules

5.1 Round 1 — Portfolio Submission

Submit 3 to 5 original images
Images must be clear and not heavily edited
Hair colour must be clearly visible
Optional reel or video link allowed

5.2 Round 2 — Reel Creation

Must use Velvetree products only
30–60 second reel showing Before → After
Post on Instagram with required hashtags
Tag @velvetreeofficial
No misleading edits allowed
Proof of product usage may be requested

5.3 Round 3 — Grand Finale

Live competition on stage
Only Velvetree products allowed
No pre-created work allowed
Follow all event guidelines

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of your work but grant Velvetree a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your content for marketing and promotional purposes.

6.2 Your Warranty

You are the original creator
No copyright violations
Model consent obtained
No AI-generated content

6.3 Velvetree Content

All Velvetree branding and materials remain its exclusive property.

7. Judging & Results

7.1 Judging Panel

Final round judged by professional experts selected by Velvetree.

7.2 Criteria

Judging is based on creativity, technical skill, execution, and presentation.

7.3 Results

All decisions are final and cannot be contested.

8. Prizes

1st Place: ₹1,00,000 + Trophy
2nd Place: ₹50,000 + Trophy
3rd Place: ₹25,000 + Trophy
4th–30th: Goodie bag + Certificate

Conditions

Prizes are non-transferable
ID and PAN required
Winners are responsible for taxes

Accommodation and meals
Products and tools provided
Model provided

Travel is not included unless specified.

9. Disqualification

Submitting copied or fake work
Providing incorrect information
Using non-Velvetree products
Private Instagram account
Misconduct or abusive behaviour

10. Limitation of Liability

No responsibility for technical issues
No liability for lost or late entries
No liability for damages or injuries

11. Indemnification

You agree to protect Velvetree from any legal claims arising from your participation.

12. Advertising

Your data may be used for Meta and Google advertising as per our Privacy Policy.

13. Force Majeure

Velvetree is not responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

14. Modifications

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation means acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction: Delhi courts.
